About The Speaker/s

Omar de Silva

After numerous business attempts growing up and a couple of successful ones, Omar finished school and chased the dream of becoming a professional golfer. Realising this wasn’t to be, he quickly found his passion for business. Since then, he has established a prove track record in venture development and investment, in a variety of sectors including professional services, property and entertainment.

Most recently Omar’s focus has been on education and the entrepreneurial eco-system of Australia. In 2014/15 Omar developed and launched Australia’s first and only bachelor degrees in Applied Entrepreneurship and Applied Social Entrepreneurship with an education startup Ducere.

In 2015 Omar became an Ambassador of the G20 Global Entrepreneurship Week and in 2016 worked as a Sherpa with the G20 Australian Young Entrepreneur Alliance.

In February 2016, Omar co-founded The Plato Project – a new business school driven to foster entrepreneurship and business leadership that unlocks both commercial and social value.

Debra Longin

Debra is the Founder of MAW Creative - MIndfullness-Art-Wellbeing-Design. She is passionate about design and strategic thinking, and she is inspired to create interior spaces and to develop strategies and programs that bring Mindfulness, Art and Wellbeing into our work lives and the spaces we occupy every day.

She always welcomes the opportunity to challenge her skills and experiences as a creative thinker, to collaborate with businesses and people, and to create high performance environments.
